Turkish Olive oil Export restrictions have been extended

Turkish olive export restriction has been extended without further date interval for bulk and barrel exports.

According to the Ministry’s statement, in addition to the decrease in production in Turkey this season due to the “off year”, in many regions of Turkey due to the adverse climatic conditions during the flowering period of olives; Production losses, considering that there will be no decline in the increasing olive oil prices in the world and that the increasing foreign demand will continue, in order to avoid supply-side problems in terms of consumer welfare and prices in the domestic market, the developments in the product yield will be followed for a while and the export of bulk and barreled olive oil will be increased. There was a need to continue the measures implemented for a while longer.
