Flood at the hazelnut growing area
It is now harvesting time at farms-gardens. Flood cause a damage at hazelnut growing area. After heavy rains, flood had drag hazelnuts to creeks.
There are loss of hazelnuts at Fatsa and Unye region after flood.
Turkiye has exported 276.080tons Hazelnut kernels during las 11 months of 2017-18 season. 1year season export will be around 290.000 tons. It was good crop – good export season.
Harvesting started on 29 July for sea side, 5th Aug for middle and will start 12 August for high hills.
