The Ministry of Trade announced that the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between Türkiye and the Maldives has entered into force as of today.
With this agreement, our exporters have obtained tariff advantages in 404 products, including iron and steel and iron and steel articles, aluminum sheets, electrical components and parts, refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, marine vessels, furniture, plastic articles, cosmetics, chocolates, confectionery, sausages, certain fish fillets and sauces. On the other hand, tax reductions or exemptions in favor of the Maldives have been provided in 154 tariff lines consisting of certain fish such as fish used in the manufacture of prepared/canned fish, fish meal, swordfish, cold-water shrimp and other shrimp.
